Texas PSF Corporation hires new Senior Vice President and Acting Chief Financial Officer

AUSTIN — June 4, 2024 — The Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation (Texas PSF) is pleased
to announce the hire of Mike Meyer as Senior Vice President and Acting Chief Financial Officer.
In his new role, he will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the areas of Finance,
Human Resources, Information Technology, and Planning and Budget, among others. Meyer
will officially start on July 1, 2024.

Meyer brings a wealth of experience in financial management in Texas state government and
specific knowledge of the PSF itself. He currently serves as the Deputy Commissioner of Finance
at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), encompassing state agency finance, school finance, grant
compliance and administration, and internal audit; at TEA, Meyer’s responsibilities included the
PSF until the Corporation became a standalone entity in January 2023.

CEO Bob Borden said, “Mike’s strong track record in managing the finances and school funding
complexities inherent in TEA’s $38 billion annual budget make him an ideal addition to Texas
PSF.” Meyer remarked, “I couldn’t be more excited to join Bob in further strengthening the PSF
as a crucial asset of Texas public education, and in helping to build the first-class investment
operation envisioned by state government leaders.”

Meyer holds a master’s degree in Public Affairs and a master of arts degree in Latin American
Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from
Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. During his time in Texas state government, Meyer has also
completed the Governor’s Executive Development Program, the Texas Fiscal Officers’ Academy,
