AUSTIN — February 1, 2024 — The Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation (Texas PSF) is pleased to announce the hire of Stu Bohart as Deputy Chief Investment Officer (CIO). In his new role, he will oversee Strategic Partnerships and the Absolute Return portfolio, which includes hedge funds, direct lending, special situations, and co-investment opportunities. He joins Texas PSF as part of a reshaping of the $52 billion endowment fund under new CEO and CIO, Bob Borden.
Bohart brings significant asset management experience to the role; he previously served as cohead of the investment management division at Morgan Stanley and as global head of Morgan Stanley’s prime brokerage business. His prior roles include portfolio management as well as operational roles overseeing infrastructure and business development for alternative investment firms.
